New Insert Selection Tools
Recommended materials filtering and starting speed & feed charts are now available for many inserts.
Here at Dapra, we are constantly looking for creative ways to better support you and make it easier for you to run your milling operations as efficiently as possible. Although it's currently a bit more challenging for us to work side-by-side on the shop floor, we're continuing to improve our website functionality to make it even easier for you to find the best tooling for whatever job you have coming up.
Our Applications Specialists are always here to support you, but we've also started to roll out a pair of insert selection tools to help you right here on the website:
"Recommended For" Filtering
This filter allows you to select an ISO material group and see only the inserts that are suitable for that material, avoiding missteps on carbide insert and geometry selection for an application.
Speed & Feed Charts
On each insert's product page, we are beginning to offer starting speed & feed charts (including depth of cut recommendations) that show the operating parameters that will work for a specific insert in a given material group.
These new features are now available for the most recent insert grades for all of our tool lines. Please feel free to contact us if you could use assistance with your product selection!
