Reporting into the Sales and Marketing organization, the Product Specialist role will work to grow revenue through the sales, marketing, and support of Dapra’s workholding and metalworking product lines. The ideal candidate is a team player who will be engaged across various business areas. Responsibilities include sales, marketing, and support of customer service, sales team members, and end-use customers while achieving a high-level product acumen through hands-on training.

Note: This role is located in our Bloomfield, Connecticut office. This is not classified as remote.


  • Applies market, customer, industry, application, and technical knowledge to grow product line revenue.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the products meet expectations for customer usability, quality/robustness, competitive features, profitability, etc.
  • Helps with preparation of ongoing competitive analysis and regularly communicates relevant information throughout the organization.
  • Supports Marketing function in the development and implementation of key programs in support of product objectives (e.g. trade shows, promotion programs, pre-sales and post-sales collateral, channel account programs, etc.).
  • Works effectively with both internal and external stakeholders; exhibits successful supplier relationship management.
  • Interfaces with Sales and Customer Service as the product line expert.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years of Engineering, Product Management, Commercial Marketing, and/or Sales experience in the Industrial Manufacturing industry or similar business-to-business industry.
  • Demonstrated team leadership within a matrix environment to achieve objectives.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and a desire to become a subject matter expert with a customer-centric approach, exhibiting passion and excitement.
  • Ability to think and apply LEAN principles to streamline processes relative to Sales, Marketing, and Product Management functions; generates new and innovative approaches to problems.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Extremely versatile and comfortable with quickly changing priorities to meet the needs of the business; able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understands business profit & loss of responsibility.
  • Project management experience desired.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office 365 toolset.
