Toroid Cutting Tool Line Expanded for Greater Versatility
Dapra Corporation recently nearly doubled their offering of high-performance Toroid Cutting Tools by adding 12 new Shell Mills in ODs from 2" through 8". For maximum versatility, four insert geometries – round, square, high-feed and octagonal – are now available for Toroid Cutters.
Dapra's new Octagonal Inserts have 8-sided geometry for excellent general face milling capabilities. Their 45 degree lead angle provides increased feed capacity for face milling, profiling, helical interpolation and chamfering.
In order to simplify the matching of the various-shaped inserts with specific cutter bodies, Dapra provides "R-value" designations, which can be found on each cutter body. Simply match the insert and cutter body "R-values" for compatibility.
