DAPRA has made several recent additions to the Square Shoulder product line:

Allmatic TITAN High-Pressure ViseThe Allmatic TITAN 125: DAPRA's Most Versatile High-Pressure Vise

The new ALLMATIC TITAN 125 high-pressure vise is so versatile that, according to ALLMATIC, "Nothing is beyond its grasp!" Combining almost all of the functions of the popular ALLMATIC NC and T-REX, the TITAN 125 has all of the precision and versatility required of today's workholding tools. It has a robust GGG 60 base with hardened and ground guideways to provide a high level of accuracy and excellent wear resistance. The large side openings allow chips and cooling lubricant to escape. Threaded holes on both sides allow for the attachment of workpiece stops, and precise aligning slots in the base ensure smooth handling. Other benefits of the TITAN 125 include short set-up times, without an external power supply, and the capability to change workpieces in a matter of seconds. High-feed ball nose insertsHigh-Feed Inserts Enhance Roughing Capabilities for Small-Diameter Applications

Dapra has introduced a new series of High-Feed inserts that are ideal for smaller-diameter applications. The HFBD Series Inserts are designed for outstanding metal removal rates when used with Dapra's BNEM Cutter Bodies for high-feed roughing, pocketing, cavity/core roughing and helical interpolation. Available in 3/8" through 3/4" diameters, these versatile cutters are furnished in medium-temperature and high-temperature grades. A further advantage of the HFBD Inserts is their eligibility for Dapra's Ball Nose Replacement Program, through which the buyer can receive FREE and Discounted replacement Ball Nose Cutters for every 30 Inserts purchased. In addition to the new Inserts, Dapra has recently announced the availability of 3/4" and 1" Solid Carbide Ball Nose Cutter Bodies.

New Premium High-Temperature Insert Coating

With the addition of our new GLH coating, our Ball Nose, Toroid and Square Shoulder inserts become premium high-temperature grade inserts. This coating provides maximum performance and wear resistance when used to cut harder steels, tough stainless steels and high-temperature alloys. GLH coating is available with all three insert base grades. Please check our individual cutting tool line pages for current availability.

High-performance Toroid CuttersNew Insert Geometry, Cutter Options Provide Expanded Toroid Versatility

Dapra's Toroid tool line now includes four high-performance inserts to maximize the versatility of our Toroid cutting tools. In addition to Button (round), High-Feed and Square inserts, some of our Toroid shell mills can now accommodate OXCH Octagonal inserts. These new eight-sided inserts offer high-performance metal removal with minimal horsepower consumption and are ideal for high-speed machining, step milling, face milling, slotting, plunge milling and helical interpolation. SSPM production shell millsNew Line of Production Milling Tools

Dapra's new milling tool line offers outstanding performance for a full range of production milling applications. Designed for 90-degree cutting, SSPM Series shell mills are available in diameters from 2" to 6". They utilize square SXEH inserts, which provide an excellent combination of performance and economy and have reinforced corners for high feed rates. Their fine pitch enables aggressive metal removal and results in excellent surface finishes. SSPM Series milling tools are ideal for face milling, profiling, slotting, step milling and plunge roughing. They can also be used for efficient helical interpolation of cored holes.

Machine vise with adjustable gripper studsT-REX Allmatic Vise with Adjustable Gripper Studs

Dapra's Allmatic Precision Machine Vise line has been expanded to include the new T-REX Vise. The T-REX features adjustable gripper studs that are embedded into the workpiece, ensuring safe and quick clamping of raw parts, thermal cut parts and sawn off material. The T-REX is suitable for materials with a strength value of approximately 900 N/mm2 (with the exception of hardened materials), and features a movable pivot jaw to accommodate different workpiece shapes. Square Shoulder and Toroid Cutters Without Weldon Flats

Dapra has a limited supply of Square Shoulder end mills and Toroid end mills, 1.25" shank diameter and smaller, without weldon flats. Add WOF to the end of the part number when ordering.

Dapra Corporation's new XPET 160404 CNC Pressed Inserts are designed to cut milling costs while ensuring high accuracy and repeatability. Produced using the latest CNC technology, these inserts carry a .001" tolerance and, with a small corner radius of .015", they are excellent for finishing applications. They are ideal for high-performance milling of stainless steels and nonferrous materials such as copper alloys and aluminum. Also well suited for gummy, softer, free-machining steels, Dapra's XPET 160404 inserts are available in a variety of coatings, as well as uncoated versions.

PCD diamond-tipped insertsPCD Diamond Tip Option for Backdraft and XPET Inserts Extends Tool Life 100x Compared to TiAlN Inserts

Dapra Corporation has just announced the availability of optional PCD tips for both their Backdraft inserts and XPET 90-degree Square Shoulder inserts. These diamond-tipped inserts afford unsurpassed tool life for most aluminum and graphite milling applications. Their expected life is approximately 100 times that of normal TiAlN-coated inserts, providing the capability for high speeds and outstanding surface finishes. PCD-Tipped Backdraft inserts, for mold and die applications, are available in 1/2" and 3/4" diameters, with both 1/32" and 1/16" corner radii and a usable leg length of approximately 1/8". Designed to be used with 90-degree Square Shoulder Mills, the XPET inserts are 16mm in length, with a 1/32" corner radius. The XPET inserts also offer a 1/8" usable leg length.

Square Shoulder Utility CuttersNew Utility Cutters Make the Most of Square Shoulder Insert Edges

Dapra Corporation's new Utility Cutters maximize the benefits of APET and XPET Inserts by utilizing areas of the inserts that are not typically used in 90-degree Square Shoulder milling. The BCSM Back-Corner Shell Mill allows the unused corner to be used for general 15-degree face milling, providing four usable edges per insert instead of two. The CMEM Chamfering End Mill provides a free-cutting positive geometry for both 30-degree and 45-degree chamfer milling.
